NOW THAT’S WHAT I CALL MUSIC! INVITES FANS TO VOTE FOR MAJOR HITS TO BE INCLUDED ON NOW 50 DELUXE EDITION
NOW That’s What I Call Music! Vol. 50 to be Released May 6
Los Angeles, California – February 20, 2014 – On May 6, NOW That’s What I Call Music!, the world’s best-selling, multi-artist album series, will celebrate a major milestone with the release of the U.S. series’ 50th numbered volume. The NOW Music team is inviting fans to join the celebration and help to select 14 of the biggest NOW hits of all time for inclusion on a special 2CD and digital edition of NOW That’s What I Call Music! Vol. 50.
NOW Music is accepting votes at www.nowthatsmusic.com/now50voting until February 27 at 11:59pm ET for major NOW hits to be included in NOW’s first ever fan-voted tracklist. The 14 additional tracks to appear on NOW 50’s 35-track deluxe edition will be selected from the top-voted songs. NOW 50’s deluxe edition will be available everywhere on May 6 along with a 21-track standard CD and digital edition.
Last week, NOW That’s What I Call Music! Vol. 49 debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. Currently No. 3 on the chart, NOW 49 is available on CD and for download purchase from all major digital service providers.
NOW That’s What I Call Music! debuted in the U.S. in 1998, following 15 years of multi-platinum international success. The series has generated sales exceeding 250 million albums worldwide, including more than 91 million in the U.S. alone. Every album in NOW’s numeric U.S. series has reached Billboard’s Top 10, and 17 of the numbered editions have reached No. 1, second only to The Beatles in chart history. The series has also enjoyed Top 10 chart success with five of its non-numbered editions, including NOW That’s What I Call Christmas! (Vols. 1 and 3), NOW That’s What I Call Music! #1’s, and NOW That’s What I Call Country! (Vols. 1 and 2).
